Our Mission

The mission of the Lawyers Helping Lawyers Foundation, Inc. is to provide support to Oklahoma lawyers struggling with addiction, substance abuse, depression and other mental health challenges. The foundation is administered by a volunteer Board of Trustees who are also members of the Lawyers Helping Lawyers Assistance Program.

Financial Assistance

Created in 2003 by a committee of Oklahoma lawyers, the Lawyers Helping Lawyers Foundation, Inc. provides financial assistance to Oklahoma attorneys who are in need of treatment for substance abuse, addiction, stress, depression or mental health challenges. The foundation is funded solely by gifts, grants and contributions. Individual assistance is provided in the form of a grant, made payable to the specific treatment, service provider or other area of need. To help protect the foundation and to give applicants a significant stake in their own recovery, all applicants are asked to make a commitment to repay the grant either monetarily or through services.

Support

The LHL Foundation, Inc. supports the Lawyers Helping Lawyers Assistance Program that helps Oklahoma Bar Association members seek treatment for substance abuse, addiction, depression and other mental health issues. The goal of the program is to improve the quality of life of lawyers so that all lawyers can better represent the people of Oklahoma.
